About Us

The London Police Department can trace its history to the date the city of London was established in 1826.  At the time the city was 746 feet wide and 1800 feet long.  Since that time London has grown rapidly, and so has the London Police Department.

Today the London Police Department is staffed by 38 police officers and civilian personnel.  The London Police Department was one of the first police departments in Kentucky to be certified as an Accredited Law Enforcement Agency, and is known state wide as a Model Department.
