London Police arrest man for drug paraphernalia and possession

john-scrogginsLONDON KY—On Sunday, Sept. 11th while on patrol, Sgt. Daniel Robinson arrested John R. Scroggins II, 27, of Pintop Road in London.

Sgt. Robinson noticed a vehicle parked at Revive Salon and Spa at 12:37 a.m. on Main Street. Scroggins was located within the vehicle’s passenger seat and appeared to be asleep. Through investigation it was discovered that Scroggins had an active arrest warrant on him from Harlan County.

Ofc. Eric Stallard arrived to assist Sgt. Robinson as they searched the vehicle with consent. Located within the vehicle was a pill bottle without labels, along with a needle, metal spoon, and the remains of a pill on the spoon. Scroggins stated the pill was his and it was identified as Zubsolv, a generic version of Suboxone.

Scroggins was arrested and charged with third-degree possession of a controlled substance and buying or possessing drug paraphernalia. He was lodged in the Laurel County Detention Center.
