London Police arrest man involved in a hit and run collision that was in possession of marijuana

LONDON KY—London Police responded to a compliant of a collision on south I-75 at mile marker 38 on Saturday, Oct. 3rd at 1:35 a.m. that resulted in the aInmateImg102015ZZZ84975_10032015014555rrest of Micah O. Lankford, 33, of Rosedale Ave. in Richmond, Ky.

Following the collision, Lankford continued to head south on I-75 and was followed by a witness for approximately 5 miles where he was located by officers at the south bound I-75 scales at mile marker 33. When Sgt. Eric Wilkerson approached the vehicle he saw marijuana lying inside the vehicle along with two smoking pipes. Lankford also had an open container of alcohol.

Lankford was arrested and charged with leaving the scene of an accident-failure to render aid or assistance, operating on a suspended or revoked operator’s license, operating a motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol/drugs/etc., of the second degree; two counts of possession of marijuana; possession of open alcoholic beverage container in a motor vehicle prohibited; and drug paraphernalia-buy/possession. He was lodged in the Laurel County Detention Center.
