London Police make a meth arrest on Tobacco Road

LONDON KY—On Saturday, August 12th London Police were notified by Dispatch of a suspicious vehicle near Fourth Street and Tobacco Road. Through investigation, a man and a woman from Somerset, Ky., were arrested.

Ofc. Patrick Nunley observed a white Dodge Stratus weaving in and out of its lane of travel and conducted a traffic stop. Ofc. Nunley discovered that Paul B. McQueen, 32, had four warrants out for his arrest. The passenger, Theresa Carr, 45, was found to be under the influence.

Following consent to search the vehicle, Ofc. Troy Truett assisted at the scene and Officers located a cardboard box which contained 11 plastic baggies containing over 20 grams of methamphetamine. Also located in the vehicle was a set of digital scales and $395 in cash.

McQueen was arrested and charged with trafficking in a controlled substance, along with four warrants from other counties. Carr was arrested and charged with trafficking in a controlled substance. Both were lodged in the Laurel County Detention Center.
