LONDON KY—On Friday, Sept. 16th London Police were dispatched to a traffic accident on North Main Street and soon after arrested Joshua J. Asher, 31, of Pine Top Road.
Sgt. Travis Hurley, Ofc. Greg Turner, and Ofc. Jacob Bormann arrived at the scene of the accident on North Main Street to investigate. Asher was a passenger in the vehicle and appeared to be under the influence of methamphetamine and he admitted to officers that he was an occasional user.
While officers searched the vehicle, Asher threw a needle on the ground before it was his turn to be searched. Police located the needle and arrested Asher for public intoxication of a controlled substance (excluding alcohol) and buying/possessing drug paraphernalia. He as lodged in the Laurel County Corrections Center.
