London Police make drug arrests on Southland Drive

LONDON KY—On Monday, Oct. 1st at 6:30 p.m. London Police received a complaint of a suspicious person on Southland Dr. Through investigation, four individuals were arrested, two guns and a substantial amount of drugs and money were discovered.

While driving on Southland Dr., Sgt. Richie Reynolds observed Justin S. Seeley, 23, of London running towards 72 Southland Dr. Seeley ignored Sgt. Reynolds’ commands to stop and he continued into the residence, shutting the door.

Through investigation, it was discovered that Tristan S. Ward, 21, of London and Caitlin M. Smith, 18, of London were living at the residence. Officers conducted a safety sweep of the house to ensure it was clear. While conducting the safety sweep items located in plain view included four large jars of marijuana, three marijuana cigarettes, four vials of cannabis oil, a bundle of money, a plastic bag containing methamphetamine, multiple plastic baggies, two sets of digital scales, a glass pipe, and a fully loaded AR-15 with multiple loaded magazines.

A search warrant was obtained by police and during the search, Scott E. Ward, 48, of London was located locked in a room. While searching the room, two sets of digital scales, a glass pipe, four baggies containing methamphetamine, and a .25 semi-automatic pistol were discovered.

In total, $4,269, 51.50 grams of methamphetamine, and 107 grams of marijuana were seized from the residence.

Assisting at the scene were Ofc. Justin Roby, Ofc. Dylan Hampton, Ofc. Troy Truett, and Ofc. Dillon Blair.

Individuals arrested at the scene:

  • Justin S. Seeley, 23, of London was arrested charged with second-degree fleeing or evading police on foot.
  • Caitlin M. Smith, 18, of London was arrested and charged with first-degree trafficking in a controlled substance (methamphetamine), buying/possessing drug paraphernalia, and trafficking in marijuana.
  • Scott E. Ward, 48, of London was arrested and charged with first-degree trafficking in a controlled substance (methamphetamine) and buying/possessing drug paraphernalia.
  • Tristan S. Ward, 21, of London was arrested and charged with first-degree trafficking in a controlled substance (methamphetamine), buying/possessing drug paraphernalia, and trafficking in marijuana.
