London Police discover drugs and money within seized vehicle

LONDON KY—London Police discovered drugs and money within a seized vehicle on Saturday, Sept. 2nd when Ofc. Greg Turner and K-9 Tyson searched near the exterior of the vehicle.

The vehicle was previously seized by Ofc. Justin Roby during a traffic stop that resulted in narcotics charges. The vehicle had been secured within storage since the date of the seizure.  When K-9 Tyson alerted to the trunk of the vehicle to the odor of narcotics, a search warrant was obtained and executed.

Within the trunk compartment of the vehicle a safe was found with a money bag holding a large sum of money believed to be connected with the narcotics previously found. Also discovered were three baggies containing marijuana, two baggies containing methamphetamine, scales, and numerous empty baggies. All of the items found were stored within evidence and the investigation is being continued by Ofc. Roby and Ofc. Elbert Riley.
