Four arrested on American Greeting Card Road

IMG_0385IMG_0389The London Police Department executed a search warrant at a residence in Emma’s Place apartment complex on American Greeting Card Road on Thursday, Jan. 28th. Officers made four arrests and seized guns, drugs, and money.

The search warrant was received after a joint investigation between the London Police Department, Laurel County Sheriff’s Department, and the Whitley County Sheriff’s Department. Recent vehicle break-ins spanned across Laurel and Whitley Counties prompted the

During the execution of the search warrant at Emma’s Place the following individuals were located, arrested, and lodged in the Laurel County Detention Center:

  • Brandon Allen, 27, of Gray, KY, was charged with buying and possessing drug paraphernalia.
  • Joshua Buchanan, 35, of Pineville, KY, was charged with five counts of theft by unlawful taking/disp-all others under $500, second-degree criminal mischief, three counts of third-degree criminal mischief, theft by unlawful taking/disp-all others $500 or more but under $10,000, theft of identity of another without consent, receiving stolen property under $500, fraudulent use of a credit card under $500 within a six month period, receiving stolen property under $10,000, and second-degree forgery.
  • Jewel Kidd, 41, of Corbin, KY, was charged with first-degree trafficking in a controlled substance of two grams or more of methamphetamine.
  • William North, 35, of Pineville, KY, was charged with second-degree criminal mischief, three counts of third-degree criminal mischief, theft by unlawful taking/disp-all others $500 or more but under $10,000, five counts of theft by unlawful taking/disp-all others under $500, theft of identity of another without consent, fraudulent use of a credit card under $500 within a six month period, receiving stolen property under $500, second-degree criminal mischief, no registration receipt, no registration plats, failure of owner to maintain required insurance/security, failure to produce an insurance card, operating on a suspended or revoked operator’s license, failure to register transfer of motor vehicle, failure to wear seat belt, no operator’s moped license, no other state registration receipt, failure of non-owner operator to maintain required insurance/security, receiving stolen property under $10,000, and second-degree forgery.

ARRESTSBuchanan, North, and Kidd were all arrested on outstanding felony warrants. London Police who executed the search warrant include Detective Sergeants Joe Smith and Gary Proffitt; Officers Ryan Jackson and Drew Wilson; and Chief Derek House and Capt. Darrel Kilburn.
