London Police make two burglary arrests at Flea Land Flea Market

LONDON KY—On Monday, May 9th at 2:27 a.m. London Police responded to an alarm at Flea Land Flea Market on Barbourville road and arrested two men for burglary.

When Ofc. Daryl Zanet arrived at the flea market he observed two subjects loading items from a jewelry case into a bag. The subjects noticed Ofc. Zanet and fled from police in separate directions. Officers apprehended James B. Sizemore, 25, of Manchester and continued to search for the second burglar, Timothy B. Hampton 26, of London. Hampton was taken into custody without incident.

Sizemore and Hampton had in their possession several pieces of jewelry and electronics that had been taken during the break-in. They used a crowbar to damage the building and kick a hole in the wall to enter, according to Det. Sgt. Gary Proffitt.

Assisting at the scene were Lt. Matthew Moore, Ofc. Steven Sparks, and several members from the Kentucky State Police and Commercial Vehicle Enforcement. Det. Sgt. Proffitt is continuing the investigation.

Sizemore was arrested and James Sizemorecharged with burglary of the first and third degree and
possession of burglary tools. Hampton was arrested and charged with third-degree burglary and possession of burglary tools. Both were lodged in the Laurel County Detention Center.
