London Police Make a Drug Arrest

InmateImg062016ZZZ88281_06022016022701LONDON KY—On Wednesday, June 1st at 1:59 a.m. London Police Ofc. Greg Turner stopped a vehicle for traffic violations and discovered that the driver had an active arrest warrant, as well as narcotics.

Danny W. Puckett, Jr., 39, of Middlesboro was driving on Fourth Street in London on a suspended driver’s license when he was stopped by Ofc. Turner. With consent to search the vehicle, a straw was located in Puckett’s right front pocket. The straw was suspected of being used to snort powder. Within the center console, a Pepto-Bismol box was found containing 11 whole and four partial Xanax pills.

Puckett was arrested and charged with third-degree possession of a controlled substance, failure to wear a seat belt, failure to produce an insurance card, operating on a suspended or revoked operator’s license, and failure of non-owner/operator to maintain required insurance. He was lodged in the Laurel County Detention Center.
