London Police make a drug arrest at London Shopping Center

LONDON KY—On Friday, April 27th London Police were dispatched to the parking lot of Dino’s Restaurant in London regarding a man who was extremely under the influence. Through investigation, Lige J. Baker, 44, of London, was arrested and a large amount of drugs were seized.

Upon the arrival of Police, Ofc. Elbert Riley made contact with Baker who was unsteady on his feet. Officers discovered that Baker had in his possession 198 Methadone pills, 1.4 grams of marijuana, 217.5 Alprazolam (generic for Xanax) pills, as well as five additional pieces of Alprazolam.

Ofc. Elbert Riley arrested Baker and he was charged with first and third degree trafficking in a controlled substance, public intoxication of a controlled substance, and possession of marijuana. Assisting in the arrest was Chief Derek House and K-9 Ofc. Greg Turner.
