The London Police Department currently has one School Resource Officer (SRO) present within the Laurel County School System, Corporal Justin Hopkins.
The School Resource Officer helps build a positive relationship between our county's youth and local law enforcement. They assist in teaching drug and alcohol awareness education within the school's health classes as well as encourage students each day, and offer a one-on-one interaction with students who may be facing bullying issues among many other situations.
