London Police Arrest Two Shoplifters

LONDON KY—On Monday, August 17th the London Police Department assisted Walmart Supercenter’s Loss Prevention by apprehending a male and a female shoplifting a cart full of electronics.

When Officers Drew Wilson and Justin Hopkins arrived at the scene, Amanda Marshall, 30, of Booneville had been stopped by Walmart’s Loss Prevention and her accomplice, Brian L. Byrd, 39, of Manchester had taken off running within the store. Soon after Officers arrested Marshall, Byrd appeared and identified himself to the Police.

 

With consent from Byrd, Officers searched his vehicle for any stolen merchandise, and discovered medical syringes. Byrd was charged theft by unlawful taking or dispensary shoplifting under $500, no operators-moped license, failure to maintain required insurance of the first offense, the possession of drug paraphernalia, and failure to produce an insurance card. Marshall was charged with theft by unlawful taking or dispensary shoplifting under $500.
